PSVR2 ushers in a price plunge in the UK, and will officially support PC next month.
The PlayStation VR 2 has seen an unprecedented price cut, with discounts of up to 36 per cent available at retailers such as Amazon and Smyths in the UK. The PlayStation VR 2 is now available on Amazon for £349, a significant drop from its original price of £529.99. A bundle including Horizon: Call of the Mountain has received a similar discount, while Smyths is offering the headset for a more attractive £329.99.
It is worth noting that PlayStation VR 2 will officially support the PC platform next month, but connecting the PC requires the use of the PlayStation VR2 headset PC adapter. The adapter will be available on August 7 for $59.99/€59.99/£49.99. Players will also need a DisplayPort 1.4 compatible cable, a Steam account, and a PC that meets the minimum configuration requirements.
Sony specifically pointed out that features such as HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive trigger, and haptic feedback (other than vibration) will not be available when playing games on PC.
